HDL Cholesterol

What This Test Measures
HDL is 'good' cholesterol involved in reverse cholesterol transport from vessels to the liver.
Low HDL is an independent CAD risk factor even with normal LDL.
Very high HDL is not always protective; overall lipid profile and lifestyle matter.
